- We will be celebrating the Lord’s Supper together this week.
Pastor Mike’s schedule:
Pastor Mike will be out of the office on vacation Sunday, March 14 – Thursday, March 18. Please contact Pastor Jaysson or one of the elders in his absence.
Upcoming events
· Cabin Fever Night – Join us on Saturday, March 20 at 6:30 p.m. for Cabin Fever Night as we attempt to chase away the winter blues and officially celebrate the first day of SPRING! In keeping with that theme, please bring a “spring” snack to share (be creative!) and dress spring-like. We will have a couple of Wii consoles set up and ask that you also bring your favorite board games. Betty Mathers will have an Easter art activity for the children.
· Baby Shower – Ladies and girls, you are invited to a baby shower on Saturday, March 27 at 1:30 p.m. to celebrate the birth of Lauren Rose to Matt and Lori Wiese. Lori is registered at Little Padded Seats in Valley Junction. She also needs baby girl clothes, with an immediate need for size 0-3 months. If you’d like to go in on a larger gift, please contact Shari Reynolds. There will be an opportunity to RSVP in this Sunday’s bulletin.
· Dodge ball Daze – Join “Team Head Shot” on Sunday, March 28 for a dodge ball tournament at Martensdale Community Church. The cost is $5 and includes food and drink. The tourney begins at 5 p.m., so please plan to meet at the church at 4 p.m. Invite your friends! Parents welcome! There will be a sign-up sheet at the Crossroad Connections table on Sunday. For questions, please contact Pastor Jaysson.
Easter choir
If you are interested in singing in the choir for the Easter service, please join us for practice on Sunday, March 21, following Sunday School. If you have questions, please see Becky Langholz. There will not be a men’s chorus this year.
Quilts for Cancer
A local Earlham group of volunteers puts together lap quilts for people who are cancer sufferers or survivors and we have recently received some forms that can be filled out if you would like to request a quilt for a loved one who may be suffering from cancer. You can find the forms at the Crossroad Connections table. For more information or to help with the quilting, visit their Web site.
